Michel Renee Mills spent her 55th birthday on Earth and entered the gates of Heaven the very next day. Beloved Mimi to her grandchildren, Mom to her children, and high school sweetheart to her husband of 37 years, Weldon, Michel spent her happiest days spending time with family. She was an avid crafter and incredibly gifted in sewing and crafts. Wonderfully creative, kind, and generous, Michel created and gave handmade blankets to many friends and family as legacy items. Michel graduated from high school in Texas City in 1987 and her and her husband were long time residents of Katy.

Michel loved to laugh and enjoyed giving gifts, she was generous and usually would be so excited to give the gift that she could not keep a secret about it. Her grandchildren were often recipients of her retail finds. As a natural caregiver, Michel loved spending time with her four grandchildren and cherished her title as Mimi. Apart from being a huge fan of her family and friends, she was an avid supporter of the Houston Astros.

Michel is survived by her husband, Weldon, children Samantha Gibson (husband, Jason) and grandchildren Sydney and Logan; Lauren Evans (husband, Justin) and

grandchildren Robert and Julia; and daughter Allyson Himelrick (husband, Michael). Michel is preceded in death by her father, David Cannon but survived by bonus Mom, Kathy Cannon. She is also survived by her mother, Jane Tull; sister, Denise Thompson (husband, Jerad); sister, Mollie Tehauno (husband, Buddy); and sister Kelly Lewis (husband, Michael).

Michel's memorial service will be Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 4 p.m. at Kingwood Methodist Church. Michel loved bright colors; it is requested that bright colors are worn in her memory. Flowers and plants can be sent directly to the church or to 9815 Deborah Colony Lane Humble, Texas 77396.
