Milton Ray
Goodwin
Mar 1, 1959 — Jul 20, 2024
Born on 03/01/1959 in Houston Texas to parents, Gary C. Goodwin and Lorene Mae Goodwin. He was youngest of 3 children.
Buck welcomed his daughter Elisha in 1983.
He settled down in New Caney, TX in 1985 and married Dolores Theriot in 1986. They welcomed their first son, Kevin in 1988 and their second son, Keith in 1990.
Buck was a "jack of all trades". He was an entrepreneur and could also fix anything that needed to be fixed. He started and ran a hot shot business, owned a mechanic shop, and built a lawn business. All while working on vehicles and building race car motors in his spare time.
While his boys were younger, he enjoyed coaching their baseball teams. This included painting custom helmets for all the boys on the team.
After the passing of his wife, he continued to raise their boys as well as 2 of their granddaughters.
His love for racing was like no other. The knowledge he had about cars was shocking to anyone. He could do anything from a simple oil change to building a car from the frame up… he built more that anyone can count. Custom paint jobs were his pride and joy, you could see your reflection as clear as day when he got done!
He may have looked scary to some, but he was also known as a big teddy bear to all that knew and loved him.
He absolutely loved classic county and gospel music.
Not many people were aware, but he had an amazing singing voice, and he could harmonize with any group. He often sang with his brother Gary Wayne and sister Cathy in their younger days.
He was not shy about his faith and love for God. He invited everyone he could to church where he attended at Liberty Church in Cleveland, TX.
Proceeded in death by his wife Dolores "Dee" Goodwin, parents: Gary C Goodwin and Lorene Goodwin and brother, Gary Wayne Goodwin.
He is survived by son, Kevin Goodwin and wife Amanda, son, Keith Goodwin and daughter, Elisha Waldrip and husband Chris, of Georgia.
