Nona Mae Ramsauer Arthur passed away peacefully on June 11, 2024.

She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Aubrey Ramsauer and Delia Aycock Ramsauer, and the niece of the late Msgr. Leon Roy Aycock, who was the rector of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria, LA. Noni was born in Washington DC on August 12, 1941. She spent part of her childhood in Galveston, TX and later moved to Alexandria, LA to live with family after her parent's untimely passing. She graduated from Providence Academy, Alexandria, LA in 1959. After high school, she attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, TX where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. Following graduation Mrs. Arthur pursued her teaching career and became a member of the Northeast Independent School District in San Antonio. Gifted with a beautiful voice, she was a member of the San Antonio Mastersingers and a past president of the San Antonio Girl's Cotillion.

In 1965 she decided to switch careers and became a stewardess for Continental Airlines. A year later, she met her future husband, Andrew Arthur who was a newly minted Continental Airlines co-pilot. A year later, they married. She left Continental to raise their two sons, although she never gave up teaching. Coming full circle, she returned to Continental in 1987 after she and Andrew divorced. She continued as a flight attendant for Continental Airlines along with teaching in the Humble Independent School District for many years until her retirement in 2012.

Noni was an outgoing, friendly, ebullient and colorful lady. She never met a stranger and made friends easily. Those who knew her, loved her dearly. She will be remembered and missed.

She is survived by her sons; Andrew Bradley Arthur and Neil Christian Nolen Arthur as well as her two grandchildren; Kenneth Edward Arthur and Michael Andrew Arthur and her cousin Camille Daspit Lacy of Alexandria, LA.
