Services for Alicemarie T. OBrien, of Kingwood, are pending with Darst Funeral Home.

Mrs. O'Brien was born July 30, 1955 Staten Island, NY to the late Alice Joan (Lorenz) and Raymond Charles Lorenz, and died Saturday, July 11, 2020 at her residence with complications from dementia.

Mrs. O'Brien was married on June 21, 1986 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Staten Island, NY to the love of her life Joseph O'Brien.

She graduated from St. Joseph by the Sea H.S. Staten Island NY 1973 and graduated from St. Peters College, Jersey City, NJ 1982 with a B.A. Theology Studied for Masters in Theology at St. Joseph Seminary, Dunwoodie, NY and was Director of Religious Education at St. Joseph Hill Academy High School Staten Island, NY 1982 - 1988

She and her family relocated to Howell, NJ 1996 and then relocated to Kingwood, TX 2015.

Mrs. O'Brien is survived by her husband Joseph O'Brien; son Christopher Patrick OBrien; daughter Erin Marie OBrien; brother Raymond C. Lorenz Jr. and his wife Teresa; nephew Raymond C. Lorenz III; sister-in-law Marguerite O'Brien-Ferraro and many cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Her greatest passion were her children and was the epitome of the perfect mom to her special needs son and realized her dream in 2004 when she and Joseph travelled to China to adopt their infant daughter.

A special thanks to caregivers at Hospice Plus who cared for Alicemarie in her final weeks and

a very special thank you to the "special angels" friends from St Marthas Catholic Church community who cared for her needs these past two years

In lieu of flowers contributions to United Cerebral Palsy or Childrens Hope International Adoption Agency, St Louis, MO will be appreciated.
