Obituary

With great sorrow, we announce the passing of Oscar Davila, who left us on November 11, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on May 18, 1944, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Ramon and Cristela Davila, Oscar lived a life dedicated to his family, his faith, and his craft. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Oscar was a loving husband to Teresa Davila, with whom he shared a devoted and loving marriage for 60 years. Together, they raised six children: Arturo, Patricia, Ramon, Oscar Jr., George, and Gilbert. Oscar's love for his children and his pride in being their father was evident in everything he did. He was also a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and fulfillment.

As a man of many talents, Oscar worked as a skilled carpenter and mechanic throughout his life. His craftsmanship was known for its precision, and he took great pride in his work. Whether building, repairing, or restoring, Oscar's hands were always busy, and his skills were a valuable asset to both his family and his community. His work ethic, integrity, and willingness to lend a helping hand to others earned him the respect of all who knew him.

Oscar was also a devoted servant of Jehovah. His love for Jehovah and his unwavering commitment to living according to Bible principles were central to his life. He shared this faith with his family, raising his children in a home filled with love, prayer, and spiritual guidance. His example of humility, compassion, and dedication to Jehovah was a beacon of light to all who crossed his path.

In addition to his family and faith, Oscar enjoyed spending time outdoors, working on projects, and sharing laughter with his loved ones. His warm heart, sense of humor, and generous spirit will never be forgotten.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Teresa; his children, Arturo, Patricia (preceded in death by her husband, Raul), Ramon (Jennifer), Oscar Jr. (Joyce), George (Michelle), and Gilbert (Ravon); his 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Cristela Davila, and other loved ones.

Although Oscar will be dearly missed, his family takes comfort in knowing that he rests in Jehovah's memory. We look forward to the resurrection hope, knowing that we will be reunited with him in the peaceful new world Jehovah has promised.
