Coliver "Collie" Hoge Parker, 89, of Houston, TX died on December 1, 2019 after a short battle with cancer. She was born on September 29, 1930 to the late Robert and Marjorie Hoge. She is preceded in death by her brother Reynon Hoge, and by her husband of 62 years, E. Brooks Parker, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Margo Gathers, daughter, Kate Wheeless, and sons, Jeff Parker and Davis Parker. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, who she adored. She was a graduate of Colorado College and lived in 3 different countries with her husband, Brooks, during his 40 years with Alcoa. For several years she was the head librarian at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial library in Rockdale, TX, which fit in nicely with her love of books. She enjoyed ballet, opera and all things musical and loved to share that enthusiastically with everyone she met. Her other great love was travelling with Brooks all over the world, from Alaska to Antarctica, Hawaii to Helsinki and everywhere in between. A memorial service will be held at St. Dunstans Episcopal Church, 14301 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069, on January 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM.
