Patricia Ann Brant, affectionately known as Pat, passed away on November 30, 2024, in Kingwood, Texas. Born on December 12, 1942, in Pennsylvania to Harry and Betty Cook, Pat lived a life filled with love, talent, and adventure.

Pat was a brilliant mind, graduating as valedictorian of her class at Frostburg College, with a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education. In 1962, she married her beloved husband, William (Bill) Brant, on St. Patrick's Day, beginning a beautiful partnership. Together, they raised three children — Andrew Brant, Christopher Brant, and Heidi Crockett (Brant) — and cherished their six grandchildren — Alex Brant, Annalina & Will Brant, and Bri, Chris & Molly Crockett.

Music was at the heart of Pat's life. She was a gifted musician who played piano, clarinet, guitar, banjo, handbells, and even the bagpipes. Her passion for music extended to her children, whom she taught to play piano, ensuring that her love for melody carried on to the next generation. Pat was a founding member of the women's choir and played in the handbell choir at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church. She traveled nationally and internationally with Strikepoint, a community handbell choir, sharing the joy of music wherever she went.

Beyond her musical talents, Pat's life was enriched by her many interests and pursuits. She was an avid tennis player, a voracious reader with a love for mysteries, and a skilled needleworker who delighted in knitting and counted cross-stitch. Her green thumb nurtured a unique love for cultivating carnivorous plants, a testament to her curiosity and care for the natural world.

Pat's adventurous spirit led her and her husband to explore the world. Of all her travels, India held a special place in her heart, captivating her with its vibrant culture and profound spirituality. Pat also extended her compassion beyond her own family by hosting several children through Compassion International, leaving a legacy of kindness and generosity.

In 2018, Pat faced the challenges of Parkinson's Disease and dementia with grace and courage, supported by the love of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, her brother, William Cook, her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Patricia Ann Brant lived a life of remarkable depth, filled with music, love, and exploration. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, the melodies she shared, and the countless lives she touched.

Rest in peace, Pat. Your life was a beautiful symphony, and your memory will forever echo in the lives of those who love you.
