Bobby Ray Pentecost
April 22, 1957 December 12, 2018
Bobby Ray Pentecost of Porter, Texas, made his final journey to be with our Lord on December 12, 2018, at the age of 61. Bobby was a loving and devoted husband and father. For over 32 years, Bobby provided for his family by working in the fire and security system industry. He was a veteran of the Navy, an ordained minister, and was an active member of Second Baptist Church. Bobby had a passion for entertaining his friends and family, grilling, and cooking, and cared immensely about nature and the environment. His kind heart led him to assist those less fortunate as well as giving shelter to abandoned dogs. In his free time, he also enjoyed working with his son to restore their 1967 Thunderbird, attending a weekly classic car show, and woodworking. In addition to being remembered as a devoted family man, he will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, and generous person.
Bobby was born in Pasadena, Texas, to the late Jimmie Almeda and Burl Theo Pentecost of Winsboro, Louisiana. He is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate of nearly 19 years, Brenda T. Pentecost; daughter, Cortney Rae Pentecost; son, Brandon Thomas Ray Pentecost; four grandchildren, Dakota Pratt, Jeremy Coots, Conner Coots and Jaxon Coots; two brothers, Jerry Pentecost and Larry Pentecost; and two sisters, Rhonda LaBlanc, and Sandra Pentecost. Bobby was also a brother of the late Jimmy Pentecost.
