Reba Sheppard Gorski

March 17, 1941- February 8, 2026

Reba was born in Bel Air, Maryland on March 17, 1941 and went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2026. She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Sheppard and mother, Mary Lee Sheppard. She passed away peacefully in her home in Kingwood, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was the youngest of four siblings, with two brothers and one sister. Reba attended and graduated from Reagan High School in Houston, Texas. After High School she was employed in the family business, Sheppard Electric for a number of years. Subsequently she spent more than a decade with Varco Oil Tools (formerly Best Industries Inc.) in Human Resources and Engineering & Material Control.

She ultimately left the corporate world in 1988 to care for her ailing mother until she passed in 1998. She continued her life of service to her family by becoming caregiver to her step father, mother-in-law, and father-in-law in the following years. Additionally during this time she cared for many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever needed and earned the name "Bebe" for all the grandchildren. As evidenced by her continued caregiving for others, she was devoted to her family and they meant everything to her. She instilled that commitment to everyone she loved and was the true Matriarch of the family. She was selfless in her endeavors to help others and will always be remembered for what she gave to her family and community.

Reba had many hobbies over the years. She loved flowers, gardening, crafting and bird watching. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed family recipes as well as her own 'inventions'. She was an avid reader including her ritual of morning bible reading and devotional time with her husband. She loved wholesome movies and watching the Aggies, Astros, and Texans.

She is survived by her beloved husband Carl Gorski of 45 years, brothers Jim Sheppard, Bill Sheppard, sister Cristy Bissonnet. Daughters; Dorothy Lynn Kaase, Mary Cristella Scott and husband Bill, Hollace Loveta Fugate and husband Aaron, Erin Key Mulkey and husband Mason, and Erica Lou Martin and husband Philip; fourteen grandchildren; April Tucker (preceded in death), Terra Tucker, Lauren Stockbridge, Sarita Scott, Jacob Scott, Cale Fugate, Lincoln Fugate, Max Fugate, Parks Mulkey, Brady Mulkey, Elise Mulkey, Miles Martin, Conley Martin and Meryl Martin. In addition, she had seven great-grandchildren (Shania, Joseph, Katrina, Aryela, Rory, Nellie, Anysia) and three great great-grandchildren (Amara, Kaliyah, Ronin), and a host of nieces and nephews.
