Patricia Walker Reid passed away in Kingwood, Texas on January 4, 2016 at the age of 85. Born in Beaumont, Texas on December 4, 1930, she attended St. Anthony Catholic School and Lamar Junior College (now Lamar University). She moved to Houston in 1953; was employed by Humble Oil & Refining Company (now ExxonMobil) and retired from there after 35 years of service, including two years for Esso Libya in Tripoli, Libya. She moved to Kingwood in 1989 after her retirement and marriage to William (Jay) Reid, who predeceased her. Pat loved life and for many years was an avid world traveler. She was a longtime active member of the Kingwood Garden Club and a member of St. Martha Catholic Church where she enjoyed many hours of sewing and friendship in the Prayer Quilt Ministry. Pat lived a full life and leaves an extended family of friends whom she loved. Visitation is from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Darst Funeral Home, with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Martha Catholic Church, in Porter, TX. Interment followed in the Garden of Peace at Brookside Memorial Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Martha Capital Campaign Fund are appreciated.
