Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Douglas Barrett. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58 in Spring, Texas on September 24, 2022. He was born on November 19, 1963 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Carole Page Barrett and Gilbert James Barrett. Rob was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. His presence on this earth is sorely missed, but we rejoice in our faith that he has been called home to be with our Lord.

His unwavering nature of taking care of those he loved was one of his many wonderful qualities. He had a great sense of humor and was unbelievably handy. Rob was a proud American and a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served as a combat medic and a helicopter mechanic. He worked full time and graduated from Ashford University with a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management in 2010. Rob had a brilliant mind for computers, and after leaving the corporate setting, he bravely ventured out and started his own concierge IT company. He loved what he did and his clients quickly became his friends. He had a passion for the ocean and loved saltwater fishing and boating. He also enjoyed spending time at the gym and working out. There are so many more things to say about him, but each person that has been blessed to have known him will carry a special memory of him within.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Barrett, and father-in-law, Wayne Barnett. He leaves behind his beloved wife Jennifer Barrett, mother Carole Barrett, sisters Melinda De Herrera and Susanna Morley, son David Barrett, grandchildren Elias and Amelie, mother in law Eva Barnett, father in law Chuck Remington, sister in law Cathrine Collins, brothers in law Arvin De Herrera, Collier Collins, Dustin Remington and Howard Heisler, his two beloved pups as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. We plan on having a Celebration of Life party in the future, where we can come together and share our favorite memories and love for the wonderful man, that is Rob Barrett.
