Robert A. Brink passed away April 30th, 2024. Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet, and his two Golden Retrievers, Barney and Clyde. Although he never had children himself, Bob was a loving fatherly-figure to Kelly & Doug Wormhoudt, whom he had known since they were young children. Bob was lucky enough to have all these people by his side at the time of his death, along with both his dogs.

Bob began life February 3rd, 1944 in Great Bend, Kansas, but he loved to tell people he was from Kamchatka, Russia. The real story was he grew up in Magnolia, Arkansas on 40 acres, which built his love of the outdoors.

Bob had a curious mind and a quick wit. He enjoyed "stirring the pot" and getting people to engage with him in fervent, good-natured debates. Bob was never afraid to speak his mind and he never backed away from a good fight. He was a proud patriot who loved his country and his fellow citizens.

Bob was an eternal patriot and proudly served in the Navy, on a repair ship, off the coast of Vietnam.

Shortly after his years of military service, Bob overcame complications from a brain tumor. After successful brain surgery, he expanded his knowledge of the automotive repair industry and eventually built a successful Meineke Car Care Center in Humble, Texas.

Forced into early retirement due to health issues, the songs of the sirens called Bob back to the sea. Every year he would spend October in Port Aransas fishing with the boys. The rest of the time was spent at the houseboat on Lake Conroe, or anywhere the fishing was good. He even developed and patented a special lure, the "SWIM-UP LURE", which had an innovative way of moving through the water to catch a fish's attention.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Janet, and golden retrievers, Barney and Clyde, Kelly and her husband Chris, and Doug, along with many friends. There's a special place for Beverly Dishman, who has been with us since we moved to Houston. Her kindness with Bob is heartfelt.

He loved those around him, his adopted family, and he will be missed. Bob left this world an honorable man.
