Obituary

Robert (Bobby) Lloyd Chancellor, aged 90, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2026. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, and will be missed by all.

Robert was born to Velma Ruth and John Chester Chancellor on December 7, 1935 in Brownwood, Texas.

He graduated from Seminole High School in 1954 and then attended Hardin Simmons University where he met the love of his life, Charlotte Auer. Robert graduated in 1958 and then joined the U.S. Army serving as an officer and airplane/helicopter pilot. Bobby married Charlotte July 4, 1959.

He completed 2 tours in Vietnam Nam as an assault combat fighter pilot protecting our troops. Robert served at the Pentagon and made yearly appearances in Congress to justify Military budgets. In addition, he received 2 bronze medals, 25 air medals, Vietnamese Medal of Honor, 2 Navy Commendation medals and 3 Meritorious Service medals.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charlotte Chancellor, and his daughters Wendy (Robert) Smith and Natalie Chancellor, grandchildren Andrea (Brock) Ripens, Samantha (Marc) Pierce, and Mac Pierce, Melanie Smith, great grandchildren Leyton Allen, Lane Rispens, Liam Allen, Clint Rispens and Tobias Max Pierce and dear friend Judith Roberts. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Chancellor and grandson Adam Michael Allen.
