Obituary

Bob Little, 81, passed away peacefully August 20, 2023, from Parkinson's related complications at the Bradford Cottage in Humble, Texas. Bob was born January 8th, 1942, to Robert Lee and Vallie Little in Salisbury, North Carolina where he attended West Rowan High School. After graduation, Bob joined the United States Air Force where he served 4 years. Upon completion of his military service in 1964, Bob began his 30-year career at Delta Air Lines in Atlanta, Georgia. While working in Atlanta, Bob met Judy Carlisle at the Cascade Heights Church of Christ. They were married at the very same church on June 11th, 1966. They had three sons over the next 10 years - Jeff, Matt, and Tom. In 1975, Bob and Judy moved their family to Kingwood, Texas where they would live and raise their family for the next 48 years. Upon retiring from Delta Air Lines in 1994, Bob started his second career at Humble ISD as a bus driver. Bob enjoyed his years spent at Humble ISD and will be remembered fondly by the many families whose children he transported to and from school. Bob was a dedicated and hard worker in all that he did. He was a longtime member of the Kingwood Church of Christ and spent his life serving his community. Bob was a member and Deputy Chief of the Kingwood Volunteer Fired Department (KVFD)! Bob enjoyed fishing and loved to watch NASCAR racing; so much so that he took the family to the Daytona 500 racetrack as part of a vacation. Being from North Carolina, Bob was raised on pork BBQ and Cheerwine. After moving to Texas, it began the big debate; Pork BBQ and Cheerwine or Beef BBQ and sweet tea? Ultimately, Whataburger and Dr Pepper won out! Bob's favorite years were spent as "Grandpa". He loved spending time with his 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. Bob was a gentle, kind-hearted and dedicated family man. The lessons he taught his kids and the way he cared for people will forever live on through them. He was a one-of-a-kind person and will be sincerely missed. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy, his 3 proud sons Jeff (Michelle), Matt, and Tom (Becky), grandchildren Emily, Nikolas, Connor, Grace, and Nathan, sisters Marie Graham, Brenda Corriher, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service honoring Bob will be held at the Kingwood Church of Christ, 2901 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, Texas at 11am on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the Parkinson's Foundation https://www.parkinson.org/
