Obituary

Rocco Nash "Buddy" Costa was born on September 28, 1938 in Houston, Texas. His family later moved to Alice, Texas where he was raised and attended William Adams High School. His parents were Nash Anthony Costa and Rose Marie Vallone and had an older brother, Victor Thomas Costa. While in high school Buddy met the love of his life, Patricia Ann Gordon. They were married in 1955. Buddy served in the Army from 1960 to 1962. He was stationed in Germany, ultimately attaining the rank of Sargent. On return to the US, Buddy and Pat settled in Houston, TX where he began a long career in the grocery business. He ultimately owned and operated his own grocery store in the Heights and later in Kingwood, Costa's Market and Deli. He was loved by his customers across Houston and went to great lengths to provide extraordinary service.

After retiring from the grocery business, Buddy transitioned to real estate and later found his true calling, nursing. He made a true impact on the lives of others, showing genuine care and compassion. He finally retired in 2013 at the age of 75, spending his remaining years in Kingwood.

Buddy and Pat were active members of the Catholic Church, attending St. Martha's Church in Kingwood, TX. Besides Pat, Buddy is survived by their two children: Cheryl Costa-Price, living in Boston, MA and Darrel Scott Costa, residing in Reno, NV. His family legacy continues with six adoring grandchildren, who were cherished by their beloved grandfather.

Buddys friendly nature and warm smile made him a friend to all. He had a quick sense of humor and a tender heart, leaving a lasting impression on those he met. Pat and Buddy loved their "potluck" friends and neighbors from Spring, Sand Creek and Ivy Point.

As we celebrate the life of Rocco "Buddy" Costa, let us remember the countless memories he created, the love he shared, and the joy he brought into our lives. May he rest in eternal peace.
