Ronald Merideth, 84, passed away at 3:54 PM on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital in Humble, TX.

He was born October 4, 1938, in Peoria, IL, a son of Lois Duncan Merideth and Harold Merideth. He was raised in Washington, IL. He went to Washington Community High School in Washington, IL and graduated in 1957. He went on to the Colorado School of Mines for one semester. Then enlisted in the US Air Force. He spent 4 1/2 years in the Air Force. He married Marretta Sawatzki on January 11, 1960. After discharge, he went to work for AT&T and remained in the bell system for 30 years. He retired in 1997. He enjoyed traveling.

Survivors include; one son, Jack L. Merideth; one granddaughter, Toni M. Petruncio (David Petruncio); and two great-grandchildren, Emily Petruncio and David Petruncio III.

He is preceded in death by brother Jack Merideth; his parents, Lois Merideth and Harold Merideth; daughter, Penny Merideth Kodosky, and his wife Marretta Sawatzki. Private interment at Olio Cemetery in Eureka, Il, will be at a later date.
