Sandria Hodnett Bice (Sandy), was born November 17, 1941, and passed May 15, 2025, at the age of 83. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. She was the beloved daughter of Edna Eugena Richards and Foy Edmond Hodnett Sr., and was the oldest of 4 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Perry Hodnett, and her devoted husband, Jimmy Ray Bice, who passed away April 15, 2015.

Sandria is survived by brother, Foy Edmond Hodnett Jr. (Bubba) and wife Mary of Emory, TX. Sister, Sharon Medford and husband Tommy Medford of Waxahachie, TX. Sister-in-law, Sandi Hodnett of Plano TX. Two sons, Jeffery Mark Bice and wife Gloria of New Caney, TX, and Timothy Alan Bice and wife Shellie of Kingwood, TX. Four grandsons, Jeffery Allen Bice of New Caney, TX. Jason Andrew Bice and wife, Lauren of Austin, TX. Reagan Blake Bice and wife, Melanie of Henderson, TX. and Jonathan Mikel Bice of Katy, TX. As well as, 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who called her, Sassy.

One of her earliest memories is of her father returning home following WW2. She loved to talk about the many places throughout the Northeast US where she lived while growing up. Despite living the majority of her adult life in Louisiana, she was proud of her Texas roots.

Sandria graduated from Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1960. In December of 1959, she married her sweetheart, Jimmy Bice. They remained married for 56 years.

After attended business school, she went on to a career with Chrysler Financial, where she worked until her retirement. Her work ethic and dedication were admired by her colleagues and friends alike.

A faithful member of the Body of Christ from her teenage years, Sandria's spiritual journey was a cornerstone of her life. She found solace and strength in Jesus; she loved going to church and singing hymns. Her example led many, including her immediate family, to becoming Christians. An oft repeated reminder was to, "just do the right thing."

Sandria enjoyed the beauty of nature. She liked gardening, birds, and fishing with Jim. Among her many talents was flower arranging, and entertaining. She gave freely of her time and talents. Her warm and loving nature touched everyone she met, and had a special way of making everyone feel valued and loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, her gentle spirit, and the joy that only Christ can bestow. We love you. Rest in peace, momma.
