Obituary

Scott Edward Anderson

Born January 28, 1964, on Galveston Island, Texas and lived in New Caney, Texas. He went to be with his Heavenly Father on August 13, 2024, in Kingwood, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his lifelong friend, Phillip Royal and his brother-in-law G. Anthony "Tony" Smith.

He is survived by parents, Edward B. and Fredda Sue Doshier Anderson, Aunt Karen Doshier Smith (Carl), sister Cathleen M. Smith, brother-in-heart Jackie W. Vanya, cousins and second cousins, and many friends local, online, the world.

Scott grew up in Texas City, Texas. He lived most of his life within the Galveston/Houston area. He graduated Texas City High School in 1982 and attended College of the Mainland. Scott was a lifelong student. He spent much of his time learning locally and online to expand his knowledge.

After graduating, he worked in several industries, including restaurant, machine shop metalworking, and metal inspections. Scott also worked for an engineering services company as a surveyor. This was a favorite occupation that afforded him worldwide travel and friendships.

Scott was raised in the Church of Christ faith. He had a firm belief in God and in his own convictions concerning life. He will be met with open arms at the gates of Heaven.

Scott was a smart, gentle, loyal, and mindful person. He enjoyed movies, reading, online gaming, and politics. His joyful times were spent with family and friends. Both the Doshier and Anderson families will grieve his passing.

After cremation, his ashes will be interred in a family plot at Hayes Grace Memorial Cemetery, Hitchcock, Texas.

We encourage family, friends from all over, co-workers, and neighbors to join us in Celebrating Scott's Life with a "Thinking of You" memories card with memories or photos of Scott and you.
