Shawn Erin Leedy went to be with Jesus, Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Kingwood, Texas. He was born in Sedalia, Missouri, on September 14, 1971, to Donald William Leedy, Jr., and Karen Henton Leedy. The family moved from Missouri to Kingwood in 1982, where Shawn spent the rest of his life.

Over the years, Shawn enjoyed bike riding the greenbelts of Kingwood, even in the middle of the night, keeping everyone's technology in good working order, and beating the pants off everyone in cards. Shawn was a doting uncle, and a ready babysitter whenever his baby sister needed him.

Shawn's love for Jesus came at an early age, and it never dwindled. He was a member of Kingwood Bible Church (KBC) for 42 years. His work at KBC for over 30 years had a lasting impact on the people he came in contact with. He volunteered with his best friend Kris Kelley at HAAM (Humble Area Assistance Ministries), Shawn giving new life to donated computers and laptops, while Kris worked to ensure donated music, movies and video games were ready for new homes.

Survivors include Father Donald William Leedy, Jr., of Coldspring, Texas, sister Staci Leedy Phillips and husband Mark, of Athens, Texas, brother David Leedy and wife Barb, of Louisville, Colorado, sister Melaney Leedy Colby and husband Scott, of Kingwood, Texas, nieces Ashleigh, Brittanie and Alexandra, and nephews Cedric, Caleb, Jacob and Luke.

Those who have gone before Shawn include Mother Karen Henton Leedy, grandparents Donald William Leedy, Alice Gayman Leedy, Rex Bertrand Henton, and Helen Dills Henton.

A memorial service is planned on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 2 pm at Kingwood Bible Church, 3610 West Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood, TX 77345. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM): https://haamministries.org/donate/.
