Steve Alan
Evans
Sep 13, 1961 — Jul 8, 2024
Steve Alan Evans was born on September 13th, 1961 in Houston Texas to Alton an Faye Evans Hollifield during Hurricane Carla. He left this world for his heavenly home on July 8th 2024.
Proceeded in death by his parents Alton and Faye Evans Hollifield and brother Robert Earl Evans. Steve is survived by his daughter Destinie Champion and her husband Ethan Champion of New Caney Texas, and his son Steve Michael Evans of Porter Texas, as well as his brother William Jenkie of Rockdale Texas.
He loved God and his Pastor Phil Meadows. He attended Triumph Christian Center in Porter Texas
Steve's greatest passion was hunting and fishing. This was when he felt his greatest peace in life. He taught both his children to hunt and fish. He took them out to the water or deer lease as soon as they showed interest, he was excited when they found success. It brought him great joy seeing the love on his children's faces.
Steve loved to play pool; he had a natural talent for the game. In his earlier years he had an opportunity to play in Las Vegas for a sponsor. Steve taught his children the game with great patience, and we all know Steve wasn't a very patient man.
He loved playing softball; he had a strong passion for the game. Throughout the years he became older and decided to put the glove up and picked up a Umpire uniform. He enjoyed being on the field shooting the bull with the other guys; and didn't take any mess off of any of the players.
You always knew when Steve was in the room, he would be the loudest one with his contagious laugh and the hardest worker. He would take his shirt off of his back if he knew you needed help. He always wanted others to have before he did.
Steve came into this world during a storm and left this world like a storm 62 years later during a storm.
Steve will be greatly missed by all who knew him, especially his children BabyGirl and Bubba
