Steven Douglas Stockton 06/08/1962 - 01/07/2025

Age 62, of Kingwood Texas, passed away on Tuesday January 7th, 2025. Son of Phyllis and the late Jim Stockton; cherished father of James Stockton and Nathan (Liz) Stockton; Grandfather of Michael and Eleanor Stockton; brother of Leslie (Tom) Johannsen, Jeff (Florencia) Stockton, Jamie (Billy) Sullivan, and Jessica (Stephen) Aument; and survived by many nieces and nephews

Steve graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in political science. While there, he joined the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity and the ROTC. After graduating, he joined the Army where he served as a member of the Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Bliss in El Paso. He served proudly, reaching the rank of first lieutenant, after which he worked a number of different managerial positions including El Chico, Fuddruckers and Sunoco.

Later in life he began teaching for various schools in the Houston area. He continued that until he ultimately settled into the role of caretaker for his mother after his father passed. Steve loved to play video games and could often be found immersing himself in the worlds they wove.

Steve will be cremated at Darst Funeral home and Cremation Services and interred at Houston National Cemetery. No viewing or Funeral service are scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project
