Teri Sweeney of Huffman, Texas passed away on April 14, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas on January 15, 1969, she was the youngest child of Ed and Verlyn Busa. She was a dedicated mother to her son, Garrett Christopher Sweeney, always attending to his every need. Teri made sure that Garrett 's life was an adventure. There wasn't a potato museum or big ball of string that they did not see while traveling the states. Teri was an avid animal lover; she worked with a rescue organization and adopted three rescue dogs of her own.

Being the youngest of six siblings, she was basically raised with five additional parents. Her siblings never minded taking her anywhere she desired. This is probably why she loved to be on the go and was always planning her next adventure. Teri had a large circle of friends in Huffman, and loved "taco Tuesdays", weekends at farmers markets, and any festivals they could attend. She was full of energy and life.

Teri is survived by her son Garrett Sweeney, her five siblings, Donna LeBlanc, Karen Hurley, Nancy Culver, Cheryl Gaechter and Ronald Busa (Helen Ann), and her nephews and nieces, Glen Fountain, Ryan LeBlanc, Jaquelyne Valverde, Justin Hurley, Leslie Kwasny, James Culver, Chris Culver, Dr. Veronica Busa, and Thomas Busa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Verlyn Busa.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 22nd at The Bridge at Lake Houston located at 1103 Smith Road, Huffman, Texas. The burial will take place at 2:00 PM at Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery (Calvary Cemetery) located at 1200 College Ave. Brenham, Texas.
