Obituary

Willard Douglas Sessions was born July 20th, 1938, in Forest Home, Alabama to William Clarence Sessions and Caddie Lee (Godwin) Sessions. He passed away on June 21, 2024, at the Kingwood HCA Hospital, at the age of 85. He was a graduate of the Greenville High School Class of 1956 in Greenville, Alabama. After graduation he served in the U.S. Navy, where he met his lovely wife of 59 years in Trinidad and was later educated to be a Certified Diesel Mechanic. He moved from Alabama to the Humble area in 1981 with his wife and children. He owned and operated Diesel Specialist for many years until he retired and sold the business. Over the years, he touched many lives of his employees, neighbors, and church members with his friendship and love for the Lord. He loved to teach about the Lord and do Bible Studies. He was a longtime member of the Lake Houston Church of Christ and always believed that winning souls for the Lord was the most important work on earth.

Douglas was survived by daughters, Gaynor and Kyle Taylor of Spring, Karen Sessions of Spring, Carole and James Martin of Grapeland, Tx.; Grandchildren, Juliet Taylor, Jacob Taylor, & Jenna Taylor, Ashley Smith, Tiffany & Reece Mobley, Shelby Smith, Marnie & Cody Branch, Maycee Leslie, Charlee Leslie, Victoria & Cody Lekander, JD & Kelsey Martin, Spencer & Kaylee Martin, & Travis Martin; Great grandchildren, Everett, Quinn, & Riggs Mobley, Olive, Eden, & Lily Martin; Sister, Margaret & Dennis Phillips; Sister-in-laws, Londa Podvin, Evelyn Lewis, and many other loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Sessions; parents, Clarence & Caddie Lee Sessions; brothers, Comer, Carl, L.D., Vernon, & Philip Sessions.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on August 24, 2024, at the Lake Houston Church of Christ, Humble, Tx.
