Born December 29, 1943, in Serbia to parents Predrag and Milosava Cojbasic. She would be their only child, as Predrag was killed in war prior to the birth. Zora passed away peacefully in Hospice on July 23, 2024, following a valiant battle against cancer.

In her early years she was raised by her single mother, a Pediatric Nurse, in the suburbs of Belgrade. Zora was educated up through college, with a degree in elementary education. After a few years of teaching, she was recruited for work in Holland. Taking a position at a clinic in Leiden, she studied the Dutch language and received certificates attesting to her competence. Later in 1972 she accepted a secretary position at the University Hospital in Amsterdam, rising to secretary to the Director. It was during this period in 1975 that she met her future husband, Tom.

While in Amsterdam much of Zora's free time was occupied helping the Yugoslav immigrant's community's well-being. She served as a paid volunteer in a State sponsored services group. Teaching adult immigrants and children the Dutch language, customs, and assisting them with translation and correspondence.

Following a two-year long-distance engagement, Tom returned to Amsterdam and married Zora on August 19, 1977, at a small venue with friends at the Amsterdam city hall. Zora then left Holland and accompanied her husband on multiple foreign assignments through ME Europe and Asia. During this period Zora also obtained her naturalized U.S. Citizenship. Tom and Zora returned to the U.S. in 1991 and eventually settled in Kingwood in 1993, remaining there to the present day.

In these later years, Zora took it upon herself to ensure the support of her mother in Serbia and developed strong relationships with the related extended families there, particularly the children. She visited and corresponded with them often, providing both material and moral support, as well as guidance. The families today are a testament to what Zora accomplished, and they all are thriving.

Zora is preceded by her parents, Predrag and Milosava Cojbasic and her Aunt, Snezana Milacic.

Zora is survived by many who loved her and include her husband, Thomas Fisher, Uncle Branislav Milacic, Aunt and God Mother, Svezda Djordjevic, 1st Cousins Sonja Stefanovic (Vesko) and Sanja Kukobat (Pedja), God Daughter Ivana Djordjevic (Igor Der) and 2nd cousins, children,  Andjela, Jelena, Jovana and Namanja.

Zora may now rest.
