PAULA MARGARET BARTON

Paula passed away January 25, 2019 in Kingwood, Texas where she resided at Arbor Terrace, Assisted Senior Living Home in Kingwood, TX. She passed away at Kingwood Medical Hospital after a 3 day stay, due to long term health issues.
She was born May 17, 1944 in Fairfield, Iowa and in 1947 moved to Pharr San Juan, Texas. Later she moved with family to Santa Cruz, CA where she spent 45 years. She worked as a book keeper for Reiter Brother a division of Driscolls Fruits and Penny’s until 2000. After her Mother passed she moved to Salt Lake City, UT to be close to her brother and sister in law. In 2015 they all decided to move to Kingwood, TX to live out their later years close to family. She was an active member of Christ The King Luthern Church of Kingwood. She was an avid canasta and card games player, she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, bingo and group crossword puzzles at Arbor Terrace. Paula was a loved member of her community and was always checking on and helping other residents that needed assistance at Arbor Terrace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret(Crail) Anderson.
Survivors include daughter Victoria Barton Hughes and son-in-law, Tony Hughes of Brighton, CO; grandsons Brandin and Vincent Hughes; brother Phil Crail Anderson and wife Billie (Rimmer) Anderson; nephew Mark Anderson and wife Dustin from Kaneohe, HI; niece Robyn (Anderson) Raphael and husband Raymond from Rogers, AR; and niece Amy (Anderson) Padula from Kingwood, TX. She also had 5 great grand nephews, Seger Marion, Zachary and Isaac Raphael; Sebastian Anderson; Greyson Padula and 3 great grand nieces, Victoria and Gabrielle Raphael and Isabella Padula.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 3803 W. Lake Houston Pkwy, Kingwood, Texas 77339.
