Barney Lee Fisher, 74, passed through this life into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 26, 2019. Barney Lee Fisher was born on July 12, 1944, to Barney C. Fisher and Eldora Fisher Lewis in Lufkin, Texas. Afterwards moving to Tyler, Texas where he lived most of his early years. On July 4, 1979, he married Kathy Henderson and they were married 39 wonderful years. Barney Lee worked side by side with his dad as a brick mason throughout their lives. His passion was for dirt track racing, building the cars he drove and antiquing. However, his most valued treasure was his wife, Kathy, and spending time together.
Barney Lee was preceded in death by his Son– Tony Lee Fisher of Humble, his Father– Barney Cecil Fisher of Porter, his Mother—Eldora Fisher Lewis of Chandler, his Step-Father—Lester Earl Lewis of Tyler, his Sister—Barbara Brewer of Chandler, and his Brother—Jasper “Scooter” Travis Smith of Lufkin.
Barney Lee is survived by his wife–Kathy Fisher of Porter, Son & Caregiver—Steven Adams of Porter, Daughter—Stephanie and husband Carl Gilmore of Navasota, Daughter—Vicky Wright of Angleton, Sister—Lillie Lozier of Tyler, Sister—Kathy and husband Jerry Tidwell of Ben Wheeler, Sister—Kimberly and husband Billy Roberts of Humble, Sister—Cheryl Townley and husband Tommy Lobue of Kingwood, Shirley Ann and husband Rick Tompkins of Bullard, Grandson—Jimi Fisher of Tyler, Granddaughter—Laura and husband Cody Satterwhite of Tyler, Christina Wright of Angleton, Great-grandkids—Nathan Fisher and Wilder Satterwhite along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy would like to extend her gratitude to the hospice nurses that took care of him throughout his final days. There is a closed Memorial Service pending.
