OBITUARY

Philip Ingenito, 75, of Kingwood, Texas died of cancer, passing peacefully on June 4th with his best friend, Beverly Baldwin, at his bedside. Phil was born in 1943 in Newark, New Jersey to Nicholas and Rose Ingenito. He was the last born child of his parents and was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald and Nicholas Jr., and sisters, Camilla and Jenny. In 1961 Phil enlisted in the Air Force where he achieved the rank of Sergeant, serving both domestically and in Newfoundland as a laboratory technician. Phil was best known as an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He would later move to Texas, where he married Linda Ingenito in 1978. Linda preceded him in death, passing in 2003 from a long fight with cancer. Phil devoted many years and much attention to her care. His pursuits in retirement turned to travel and photography, visiting nearly every state and national park he could find with his constant companion, Beverly. He is survived by his son Philip John Ingenito, his friends and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins too numerous to name. They will all remember him fondly for his boisterous humor, sage advice and enjoying the hell out of life. He will be given military honors at the VA National cemetery in Houston, where his ashes will be interred with his late wife, Linda on 06/20/2019 at 2:00 p.m.. He requested no viewing or other service. In lieu of flowers, please direct any donations to the Grace Hospice Foundation

  1. I feel very lucky to have met Phil and had him as part of my Family. He greatly enhanced my mother, Beverly’s life, and I am so thankful to him. He will be missed very much.

  2. To Phil and Beverly’s family: I worked with Phil at NEMC and was always glad to see him arrive for evening shift. He always had a funny line about what was going on in Lab! I usually agreed with him, too. You and he were lucky to have found each other and I know you will miss him. God bless and keep you in these sad days.
