She later became the supervisor of the Probate department. After retirement from the County, Virginia & Doug moved back to Houston, where they had many family members & friends. They were part of every family celebration, sporting events, dance recitals, birthdays, holidays and family vacations.

Virginia built a lasting legacy of love. After 58 years of marriage, her husband Doug died in 2000. 1. What an honor to know this beautiful woman and her extended family for the last 15 years! She was a kind and caring person with a delightful sense of humor and could tell many family stories that would make me cry with laughter. I will truly miss seeing Virginia when I come visit Trisha, Ken and Hayley, knowing she will not be coming over for an afternoon chat or dinner. She will always hold a special place in my heart that now lives on in her daughter. This world was a better place because of Virginia, and now she continues her eternal life with her loving husband in Heaven. God bless you, Virginia. I will miss you. Karen
