Jose was born May 8, 1977, in Houston, TX, to Blanca Gomez and Jose Jesus Moncivais, Sr. and raised by Geronimo and Blanca Deantes. Jose loved the simple things in life and enjoyed playing softball, making jaw-dropping/drool worthy BBQ, dancing, riding his motorcycle, riding his ATVs and most of all spending time with his family. Jose also enjoyed going to concerts, traveling and taking care of his farm.

Jose had the biggest heart for this family and friends and his love for life was contagious. Everyone that knew him, knew what a special person he was. Jose brought so much joy to so many lives and he will be greatly missed.

Jose is survived by his wife, Clarissa of Dayton, TX; children Xavier Moncivais of Houston and girlfriend Esmeralda Flores of Houston, Savannah Moncivais of Houston, Ashland Ponder and husband Hunter Ponder of Dayton, Fabian Miranda and Tori Radcliff of Dayton; grandchildren Adalida Mae Ponder, Augustus McCray Ponder, and Alma Rose Miranda; Parents, Geronimo and Blanca Deantes; sisters, Maribel, Ana and Perla and numerous family and friends. “Always pray to have eyes to see the best in people.
