OBITUARY

Kendal Ann Beckett (Smith), born on January 16, 1971 to Sandy Smith (Medley) and Will “Ed” Smith, passed away unexpectedly on November 21st, 2019 at the age of 48.

Kendal was a very warm, caring and compassionate woman who found her greatest joy living in and working with the outdoors gardening, landscaping and planting with a fondness for many animals and especially her beloved dogs. The quality of Kendal’s love was unparalleled as a wife, caregiver and mother by the tenderness and love she put into every act of kindness she performed.

Kendal’s life blossomed in the warm, summer-sun as the nature she cared for and was loved for her generous, passionate and free-spirited personality by her family and many friends alike.

On Nov 11, 2018 Kendal finally married the love of her life; Edward James Beckett whom she had a long and passionate love affair with since 1984.

Kendal is survived by her husband, Edward James Beckett; son Ian Beckett of Houston, Texas; daughter Brittany Beckett of Alpharetta, Georgia; and daughter Taryn Rangel of Porter, Texas; mother Sandy Medley of New Waverly, Texas; mother-in-law Marlene Gouffray of Miami, Florida and father-in-law Ed Beckett of Cleveland, Ohio; brother Anthony “A.J.” Scardino of Kingwood, Texas, sister-in-law Dawn Marie Scardino of Kingwood, Texas, sister Karla Langston of Porter, Texas, brother-in-law Todd Langston of Porter, Texas, brother Ed “Shannon” Smith of New Waverly, Texas and sister-in-law Diana Smith of New Waverly, Texas; niece Ashley Smith, nephew Josh Hall, grandmother-in-law Yolanda Gouffray, niece Melissa Hood, niece Toni Scardino, great niece Jordyn Hood, great niece Kalynn Hall, great nephew Langston Hall and great nephew Jakob Hall. Kendal is preceded in death by her father Will “Ed” Smith.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, TX 77339, 281-312-5656 on Monday December 9th, 2019 at 1 P.M.
