OBITUARY

Raymond Gilbert Fry was born January 23, 1930 in Crosby, TX. He was the 3rd of 3 children and attended Jeff Davis High School and college at the University of Houston. He was a salesman in the paper industry. He married Agnes Angeline July 29, 1971. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Raymond made everyone feel loved and special.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Corean, sister Margaret, brother Virgil, and son, Timothy Fry. He is survived by his wife, Angie, Sons Greg, Steven and wife Maria and his daughter, Cheryl and husband Dwayne. His grandchildren, Derek, Justin, Alec, Stephanie and Juliana and great-grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by many other friends and family members.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Raymond served as a sergeant in the U S Army during the Korean War. He was fun-loving, kind, trustworthy and above all a gentleman. His hobbies included game shows, westerns, sports, golf and bowling. His favorite music was Country Classics and Johnny Cash.

His visitation Tuesday, December 24, 2019 will begin at 10:00 A M at Darst Funeral Home, there will be a celebration of his life and the love and joy he shared with family and friends beginning at Noon. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery with graveside honors provided by the U. S Army Honor Guard and the Honor Guard of the Houston National Cemetery.

Service Information

His visitation Tuesday, December 24, 2019 will begin at 10:00 AM at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood, TX 77339. Following the visitation, there will be a celebration of his life beginning at 12 Noon. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery at 2:15pm.

  3. Ray taught us by example that in spite of sadness to live happily in the present moment. I will try to follow his example. I know I will see him again some day.
