Achamma Kuriakose was born on January 26, 1949 in Panamkuzhy, Kerala to the late Paily Varkey & Aleyamma Paily of Muthirakalayil House. She was one of six siblings.
She married Kuriakose Varkey of Kaungampillil house in 1970 and together they raised their three beautiful children Jees, Jeena, and Jibu. She was settled in Kothamangalam, Kerala and moved to Houston in November of 2004 to live with her daughter and grandchildren.
Achamma was a devout mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She was a lovely woman who was always smiling and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She loved to prepare homemade food for not just her family but for friends and those she cared for. She made a significant impact on the lives of others with her caring and selfless nature.
Our beloved Ammachi was called home on December 23, 2019 after her courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her husband, children, family, and many friends. Even through her battle with cancer, she remained a woman with strong faith in God and continued to serve and love others in her own special way. Our hearts are heavy but we are rejoicing that she is at peace and in heaven with her Loving Lord and Savior. She will be missed dearly and will live on in our hearts and our thoughts forever.
