Almendarez Baringer, Kathy

Kathy Baringer came into this world on October 9th, 1944, in Harlingen, Tx. As the oldest of 5 sisters it was her job to take care of them, and she did.

Kathy, age 75, passed away at home in Humble, Tx. Wednesday, on January 22nd, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy left behind her husband, Ed Baringer. Her children, Bredo and Cindy Christensen, Lisa Christensen, Brent and Robyn Christensen, Raymond and Belitha Baringer, Rachel Baringer and Eric Wiley, and Marissa and Brady Wiley. Also surviving are her 4 sisters, Sherry McCall, Debby Harrington, Barbara and Raymond Lisauckis, and Vicki Ligon. She also left behind grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Her mother, Sherwynn Callaway, passed the next day and Kathy was there waiting for her.

She never really understood why so many people liked her but, they did. There was something so sweet about her that people were naturally drawn to her. She made this world a better place and will be deeply missed.

Aunt Kathy-I will always remember spending holidays together and going to your house, drinking your sweet iced tea, and playing basketball with my cousins. I remember you coming to my birthday parties when I was a little girl, and I loved spending a week with you babysitting Marissa. You made everyone feel so welcome & loved. I will miss you! Love, Laura

Aunt Kathy - It is with great sadness that you left this world way too early! Your spirit will live on forever through your beautiful children, grand children and great grand children. We will all miss you tremendously. Everytime I drink iced tea, I will add an extra scoop of sugar for you. Love you always!

Aunt Kathy, such a beautiful strong woman. You were a great mother, wife, friend, sister, daughter and aunt. I have so many fond memories of being at your home and spending lots of time with you and my cousins. You were like second mom and always loved me and welcomed me. You will be missed, I love you!

My beautiful best friend forever. I will always hold you in my heart. I remember the first day I met you on our way to take our sons to kindergarten. From the moment we met a bond was formed that is eternal friendship. So much laughter sadness and through it all we were there for each other. Our lives took different roads but the memories are etched in forever. We were ladies mother’s wives tales we shared with others and things we shared only with each other. You are resting with your Mother and I am glad there is no more suffering. I am here for comfort to your kids
