OBITUARY

Our precious son, dad, companion and friend Jason McMahan stepped into the arms of Jesus on Friday the 13th of March 2020. Jason entered this life on June 14, 1980 in Borger, TX. He was God’s gift to his parents James & Julie and our whole family.

In the sort 39 years he lived, Jason touched more people than most of us do in a long lifetime.

He asked Jesus to come into his heart on June of 1987. He graduated from Borger High School in 1998. Jason joined the Army in 1999. While serving he met and married Shawn Howard. Upon leaving the Army in 2003 they moved to Houston where they were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Austin & Lillian.

He loved martial arts, especially Jiu Jitsu and was and active member of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in New Caney, TX. His passion was second only to the love and devotion he had for “The Ladies”, Austin & Lillian.

Jason is survived by his parents James & Julie McMahan, daughters Austin and Lillian McMahan, mother of their daughters Shawn Howard and Fiancée Hope Harmon and her children Deven and Lily, and a host of family and friends.

  5. I knew Jason briefly, we met after the death of my fiance, he became a friend to me, both of us having ties to Borger and both of us having known my fiance. Jason was a good guy who liked to hang out in his garage and talked about how much he loved his daughters. I want to extend my condolences to his family, the Ladies, and especially to his fiancee Hope, who I have never met but I just want to say that I know first hand what you are going through and I am keeping you in my prayers. Jason was a good man and he will be missed. Peace and love to his family and friends. – Jennifer Welch
