OBITUARY

Sandra Lee Sigsworth, age 78, of Kingwood, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at home after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.

Sandy was born April 5, 1942 in Rock Island, Illinois, daughter of Albert and Antoinette (Pestle) Boxman. She attended Alleman High School and married John Sigsworth on May 7, 1959. Sandy worked at International Harvester Farmall and at Walmart before retiring in 2007.

After retirement, she volunteered at her church, St. Mary Magdalene as well as the at Magdalene House food pantry. Besides volunteering, she enjoyed reading, games, puzzles and spending time with her family.

Sandy was a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs and was finally rewarded with the World Series crown in 2016!!

Sandy is survived by daughter Christine Phillips (Rich) of Milan, Illinois; daughter Sarah King (Steve) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; son Dan Sigsworth (Teresa) of Cary, Illinois; and daughter Theresa Christian (Jack) of Kingwood, Texas; brother Mike Pestle (Kim), sister Judi Cirricione (Mike), sister Sharon Hoffman (Dan), brother John Boxman (Annette) and sister-in-law Mary Brahm; brother-in-law Bill Sigsworth; grandsons Doug Phillips, Mathias Sigsworth, Scott Sigsworth, Bradley Sigsworth, Justin McCraney, Corey McCraney, Jackie Christian (Nikole), Jeremy Christian (Kylee), great-grandson Denver Christian and great-granddaughter Paisleigh Christian and many nieces and nephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and step-parents; husband John Sigsworth; son Darryl Sigsworth (Lori) and brother Dale Brahm.

The family would like to thank Dr. Khoury and his staff, Millenium Oncology, Kingwood Texas and Millenium Hospice (Avatar).

Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Illinois at a later date.

  2. I am so very sorry to see Sandy go, but I know she will be with Him! I loved her! She was the most funny, cool, kind, happy no-matter-what, lady. I will never forget her smile, her laugh, her eating Cheetos with gloves on, and her wit! She gave me a book and I will treasure it and never forget her! My prayers will be for her family…
