Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15

Sam was born on December 03, 1949 in Houston, Texas. He was the second of four children born to Fidel Meza Mireles and Alice Rodriguez Mireles who were Native Texans whose families have a long history in the State of Texas which he loved. Sam was trained to be a skilled draftsman who began his career at Dow Chemical. He loved drawing and used these skills for the rest of his life in his career as a General Contractor. He shared his love of building with his three sons, who consulted him on the finer points of building projects that came up through the years.

It saddens me to know that many times I planned to go see him and never followed through. The last time I really had a talk with him, he had very good things to say and gave great advice. I’ll always remember him as that Uncle who smiled so big with such a warm laugh! Uncle Sam will always have a special place in my heart!
My deepest condolences to the whole family.
