OBITUARY

Pietro L. Taliente was born February 24, 1940, and passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 17, 2020, at the age of 80.

Pietro was proud to have been born in Ostuni, Italy. His family moved to Buenos Aires and he then came to the United States where he attended and graduated from The University of Buffalo. It was in Buffalo that he met and married his wife of 56 years.

Pietro was an industrial engineer who worked in international sales for over 30 years. Through this work he met great friends all over the world that he kept in touch with even after retirement.

Pietro had a love for traveling (especially back to his hometown of Ostuni to eat fresh figs off the trees), soccer (Italia and Milan) and most of all his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ermino and Maria Consiglia Taliente, brother Anibale (Nino) Taliente and nephew Jose Alfredo Taliente. He is survived by wife, Elisea; son Giancarlo Taliente (Nory, Alessandra and Stefania) daughter Daniela Garcia (Michael, Gabriela and Christian), siblings Carlo Taliente and family, Giuseppe (Piti) Taliente, Filomena Mercuri and family and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 10:30 AM at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Parkway, Porter, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, please consider directing memorial contributions in memory of Pietro to the Nantz National Alzheimer Center at Houston Methodist Hospital, P.O. Box 4384, Houston, TX 77210-4384.

Service Information

A Funeral Mass for Mr. Taliente will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, 4301 Woodridge Parkway, Porter, Texas. Cremation to follow.
