OBITUARY

Mark Andrew Byerly, of Porter, TX, or “Andrew” as he was known to his family and friends, was born on August 15, 1988 and went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 12, 2021.

Andrew was born in Houston, TX and was the second of four children born to Mark and Frankie Lynn Byerly. Growing up, Andrew attended Porter Elementary, New Caney Middle School, and New Caney High School. After graduation, Andrew began his career in sales and services.

On April 12, 2010 Andrew and Twila Ann Lattea were married in The Woodlands, TX.

Andrew was a devoted member of Christian Life Center, he lovingly recognized Jesus as his Savior.

Andrew was loving, brave, honest, and strong-willed. Among his fondest moments was his marriage. In his spare time, Andrew enjoyed playing card games and hiking, and listening to classic rock.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Byerly Sr.; aunts, Suzanne Minx and Terry Hardwick; and uncle, Joseph Mann. Andrew is survived by his siblings, Savannah, Stephanie, and Daniel; nephews, Johnathan Dixon, Kayden Dixon, Joseph Dixon, Liam Dixon, and AJ Dixon.

Service Information

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Darst Funeral Home Gardens, a Celebration of Life service will follow at 1:00pm.

Even though my connection with Andrew wasn’t as strongly solidified as I wish it was, I know he was the biggest hearted individual in our family, he always spoke his mind, and would always find a way to ease my anxiety as an individual (whether it be at family functions, or just one on one conversations). I know now he’s in a better place, and at peace. Although I never did get to say goodbye, i did a lot of thinking and realized, there was never a reason to say goodbye, because I will see you again Andrew, thank you for the impacts you’ve had on me, thank you for your humor, and thank you for fighting as long as you did. But take it easy, and rest up, I’ll see you later. Love you
