OBITUARY

Gracie P. Albright, age 91, passed peacefully from this life on September 6, 2015 at her home in Kingwood, Texas. She was born in Covington County, Alabama on March 17, 1924.

Gracie was a person of great faith and service to others. She was very close to our Lord, and her life was a reflection of His command, “Love one another.” Those who knew Gracie felt her love, kindness, and compassion in countless times and ways. She was truly a remarkable individual — a pillar of strength and resilience with endearing empathy and sensitivity along with an unfailing faith in others. In raising her three children, Gracie was a devoted and loving mother. In her professional nursing career, Gracie’s leadership and tireless devotion to patient care in hospitals was a source of encouragement and hope to all her patients as well as families and loved ones. Gracie leaves us with many precious and heartfelt memories as well as innumerable examples of how to truly “walk the walk” in unselfishly loving and caring for one another.

Gracie was preceded in death by her father and mother, Luther and Ida Bradley, husband, Eugene Cooper “Gene” Albright, brothers Jeff and James Bradley, sisters Betty Doyle, Nell Yusko, and Mary Powell, and her beloved furry, feline companion, Muffin.

Survivors include Gracie’s brother, Ray Bradley; daughter, Tanya Bodo; son, Gary Koger and wife Trish; daughter, Patricia Sveda and husband Frank; the father of her children, Noel J. Koger; grandchildren: Nicole, Jonathan, Lana, Neal and wife Rebecca, Reka, Blair, Blake; great grandchildren: Aden, Layla, Gracie, Anthony, Noah, Cooper; nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews.
