OBITUARY

Mary Lynn Duncan Anthony  was born on October 10, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Texas and passed away November 20, 2015 in Porter, Texas at the age of 64.  Lynn was born to Charles Alton Duncan and Ruby Lea D’Agostino and grew up in Massachusetts and later in Bryan, Texas.  She went on to work as a hair stylist and retired after 37 years.  Although she was a talented beautician her true passion was animals.  Some of her greatest times were caring for horses and working in the barn after a long day of doing hair.  As a child her mother would often ask her why she had brought home another animal and she would say, “it followed me home.”
After her retirement and before her illness left her too weak to travel she loved going on “road trips” with her family.  From day trips, to fishing trips and Indian reservations, even trips to the  grocery store were enjoyed by Mary and her family.   She loved spending time with the grandkids, her beloved animals and her family and friends and she will be dearly missed.
Lynn  is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Alton Duncan and Ruby Lea D’Agostino.  She is survived by daughter, Dawn Anthony of Porter, Texas;  son, Damon and wife Shawn Anthony of Porter, Texas; brother, Joseph and wife Rhonda D’Agostino of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle, Emily, and Damon Anthony; nieces, Shannon Long and Lauren and husband C.J. Johnson; nephews, Joseph and wife Stacey D’Agostino , John and wife Barbara Gossett and Lee Nash;  one aunt, who is here mother’s oldest sister, Miss Hattie Watson as well as many more cousins and friends.
A funeral celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, TX 77339 followed by a reception of food and fellowship.
