Charles enjoyed having BBQs or going to BBQ at friends and family and having a beer while doing the BBQ. He loved to do a big vegetable garden, watering etc and working on anything that needed repair. He had many jobs in his 82 years, but I only bring up a few that he talked about. He had a service station he ran. And he spent 18 long months in Alaska, saying he didn’t know why anyone would want to live there. He also owned his own 18 wheeler, which pulled out of Nucor Steel in Jewett, Texas, and did that til he retired. He then moved to Rye, Texas. Then about 8 years later the house burned, he caught pneumonia and opted to move in with his daughter, then a year and five months later he died of a heart attack.
