Ben Allen Traylor

June 01, 1949 – May 10, 2022

Ben passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 after a battle with lung cancer at his home in New Caney with his family by his side. Ben was born in Texas City, TX to Malven L. and Anna R. Traylor and grew up in Beaumont, Tx. Ben joined the Marine Corp from 1967 to 1970 and was awarded with the Purple Heart. Upon his return from deployment in Vietnam, Ben joined Baker Hughes from 1971- 1999 and later became a member of the VFW Post 4816 in Porter, Tx.

Ben liked to fish, bowl, going to Las Vegas, gambling, and hanging out with fellow veterans, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by: his Parents Malven and Anna Traylor; brothers: Claude Lee, James Douglas, and John Franklin; sister: Tonya Elaine

Ben is survived by: his Loving Wife of 25 years: Angela Traylor; son: Jeff Traylor and wife Ashley; daughter: Cindy Wright and husband Randy; step daughter: Shelly Ayres and husband Greg; step son: Cody Ball and wife Jennifer; grandchildren: Jonathan, Annabelle, Cory, Maddilyn, and Brennan; great grandson: Russell; brothers: Tom, Jeff, Buck, and Michael; sisters: Irene, Jean, and Paula and many other family and friends.

Pallbearers: Jonathan Traylor, Randy Wright, Cody Ball, Greg Ayres, Tom Hall, and Stacey Prisk.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, Texas 77339 with interment to follow at 10:45 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery.
