Brenda Louise (Odom) Layson passed away from a broken heart on Sunday morning, January 30, 2022, just six days after the love of her life, her husband, Allen. She is survived by her son, Bobby; sisters: Ann, Janet, and Gail; and brother, David.
She was born in Tomball, TX back before Tomball Regional hospital was built.
Brenda grew up in Houston across the street from, and within yelling distance of, the Layson family. She and Allen were childhood friends, became sweethearts, and married in 1970. They spent over 50 years of marriage together, most of them with their son, Bobby, who completed the family in 1974. Brenda loved to cook, and if you wanted a good meal, all you had to do was ask.
