Jerry Floyd Briscoe was born August 1, 1933 in Hamlin, TX and went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, February 26, 2016, at the age of 82 years old in Shenandoah, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Edna Josephine Briscoe; his parents, Floyd and Jonnie Briscoe, and sons, Joe and Danny Helms.

He is survived by sons: Jerry Briscoe, Jr. and wife Fleeda, Phil Helms, Thomas Helms, Alvin Helms and wife Melodee ; daughters: Tammy Wright and husband Stewart. Kathy Ashworth and Doris Gilliam and husband David; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Helms and special friends, Andy and Lenora Hunt, along with numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and several Great-Great Grandchildren. He also leaves behind a sister, Peggy and her husband Dub Hallmark, as well as, many friends who were blessed to know him.

Jerry served our country for 2 years as a cook in the Army. He is retired from Parsons Corporations after working 30 plus years. During that time he traveled the world to Saudi Arabia, France and Japan just to name a few. As much as he enjoyed his travels and his job his greatest love was being at home with his wife “Sugar Foot” and later his grandchildren.
Funeral: A funeral service was held on 2016-03-03 at New Caney Family Worship Center. Burial will follow at Brookside Memorial Park
