Colclasure, Mary M

Mary Madelene Colclasure went home to be with her Lord in Heaven on Sunday November 4th, 2018 at her home in Kingwood, TX.  She was surrounded by her family.  Mary was preceded by her parents John and Estelle Soileau.Mary was born July 22nd, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to parents John and Estelle Soileau.  She spent her childhood in New Orleans, LA, Clarkston, GA and Spring, TX.

rn

She graduated from Klein High School in Spring, TX in 1977 and went on to attend Southwest Texas State University ( now Texas State) in San Marcos and graduated with a degree in Accounting in 1981.

rn

Mary worked several jobs in the Oil and Gas industry, including Texaco, Columbia Gas, Tenneco (El Paso Energy) and Kinder Morgan.  She worked as a Business Systems Analyst at the time of her death.  Her coworkers spoke fondly of Mary and how creative she was.  She was always coming up with funny skits to help with training.

Mary had such a kind heart and she loved animals.  Her most beloved pet was a dog name Lucky.  She found Lucky at her apartment building among several other puppies.  Mary took Lucky in and helped to find homes for the other puppies as well.  Mary also had a cat named Speckles.  I’m sure she is happy to see them both again in Heaven!

Mary put the needs of others before her own quite often.  In fact, during the last days of her earthly life, while very ill she was worried more for her family than herself.  She even comforted her doctors.
Mary had creativity to spare.  She sewed her own curtains for her dorm room in college, she made crafts and took up painting and has many beautiful creations in her Kingwood home.

Mary loved to travel, be it with her sisters to the Grand Canyon and California, to Mexico with her college friends, but one of her favorite trips ever was the trip to Moab, Utah this past June with her husband Dale and her son Zachary.  They had a great time and made some wonderful memories together.  Memories Dale and Zachary will treasure.

rn

Mary also had a love of music, dancing and karaoke.  When family gathered at her house for get togethers it was pretty much assumed that some karaoke was going down!  She also enjoyed Concerts with family and friends including Prince, Steve Winwood, Christopher Cross, and Rush.  Zachary talks about how much he enjoyed that Rush concert.  Mary was also a dancing machine. The lady had mad dance skills!

Mary is survived by her husband Dale Lee Colclasure, sons Zachary Colclasure and Phillip Colclasure.  Daughters Rachel Cornelson and her husband Jason Cornelson, and Elizabeth Colclasure and her family.  Her grandsons Ryan Andrew Colvin, Benjamin Kade Colclasure, William Jackson Midkiff, and Kaleb Edgar Dorris.  Her brothers, Don Faustin Soileau of New Orleans,LA and Stephen David Soileau and wife Kay Villa of Neenah, WI; sisters Anne Soileau of Bryan,TX , Renee Marie Briles and husband Mark Briles of College Station, TX and Lynn Anita Bihm and husband Lionel Bihm of Newnan,GA.  Her nephews Chase Walden, Dallas Briles of College Station,TX and nieces Aimee Walden and Brenna Briles of College Station,TX and Emma Bihm of Newnan,GA.  She is also survived by many cousins, friends, and coworkers.
