March 2, 2016 - May 18, 2018
Anthony Brent Contreras affectionately known as lil’ “Peety” provided his family with a lifetime of memories in two short years. Born on March 2, 2016 to Drew Contreras and Brooklyn Murray, the Good Lord welcomed home another one of his angels on May 18, 2018. “Peety” is survived by his parents, brother Drew, and sister Quinn; and by his paternal grandparents Anthony and Jessica Contreras and their children, his Aunts Haley, Maisy, and Naomi, and cousins Heidi and Vera; and by his maternal grandparents Sherry Murray-Copeland and Robert Murray Jr, his wife Sara Murray, and their children, his Aunts Blaire and Brynna. He is also survived by his maternal great-grandmother Cathy LeBlanc and paternal great-grandmother Janice Townsend.
With a smile made in heaven he was a very big boy that loved to dance, joke, and play superheroes with his brother. He loved to wake up early and help his Dad get ready for his work day, and he loved to help his grandfather with chores around the house- often seen dragging large pieces of wood. He took time to lay down with anyone that wanted to take a nap and cuddle, and kept his family laughing with a spirit of playfulness. He was never one to slow down, and lived life to its fullest.
His adoration for superheroes allowed him to drift into supernatural places built only for those that choose to dream big. And Peety always did everything in a big way. He and his brother played their favorite superheroes daily wearing out their favorite superhero suits to the point of tattered threads hanging from the openings at the feet and worn two sizes too small. They both loved to play in together and wear those suits.
During his last week in the hospital he demonstrated “super strength” and “super love”, and he gave the ultimate gift- life. His heart now beats life into a 4 year old boy, his liver is working to give life to another child, and his kidneys are now a blessing to a 53 year old man. Peety’s super human ways will continue touch his family and other families in supernatural ways. Heaven holds a special place for super people like him.
