OBITUARY

Frank Norman Deaton was born February 9, 1925 in Houston, Texas to Benjamin and Sue Deaton, and passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the age of 90. Mr. Deaton served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard in WWII aboard the destroyer escort USS Peterson, a proud member of the famous “Tin Can Sailors”. He had a long, successful career as a pipefitter and piping designer in the Petrochemicals and Refinery industry. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Huffman where he served as a deacon and Sunday-school teacher. Frank was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years Norma Dean Tautenhahn Deaton, and is survived by his sister Samye Funderburk; sister-in-law Rebecca Stone and her husband Jim; brother-in-law Reagan Tautenhahn and wife Carlene; daughter, Rebecca Sue Lagace and her husband John; son, David Frank Deaton his wife Ellen, and son, Paul Reagan Deaton and his wife Barbara, grandchildren Timothy Gryseels, Todd Gryseels, Nathan Deaton, Michelle Lacey, Eric Deaton, Sam Deaton, Adam Deaton, and Rachel Deaton; step-grandchildren Lauren Ball, Jeff Fiore, Robert Fiore, and a host of loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
