OBITUARY

Gladys M. Eagleton passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, TX on September 14, 2015.

She was born in Vancouver, WA on July 26, 1919 and raised in Portland, OR. Gladys’ elegance and gracious personality lent itself to her successful career in the hospitality industry including the Multnomah Hotel & Aero Club of Portland. She had a full life in Portland with her husband Richard and her many wonderful friends. In 1983 she retired as a manager of the International Club at the Portland Hilton to marry her high school sweetheart John W. Eagleton, both having lost their spouses. Gladys moved to Kingwood, TX and thoroughly enjoyed her life as a retiree playing golf and traveling around the world.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Richard E. Kriesien, her second husband John W. Eagleton and step daughter Lynda Fitzgerald. She is survived from her first marriage by step son Kris Kriesien and his wife Maggie; grandchildren Brian and Kevin Kriesien and Sarah Hodson; Ron Jr., Patrick, Scott and Lisa Fitzgerald; great grandchildren Walter and Dana Kriesien; Savannah, Michaela and Alexa Kriesien; Lucy, Jack and Joe Hodson; Coleton and Kathryn Fitzgerald; Jonathan and Brittany Fitzgerald. From her second marriage she is survived by two step daughters, Nancy Schwartz and her husband Jed, and Marcia Lenihan and her husband Tim; two step sons James Eagleton and his wife Ann, and John Eagleton Jr., and his wife Becky; grandchildren Christian, Wesley and Reid Schwartz; Drew and Kiki Lenihan; Fritz and Winch Eagleton; John III, Garrett, Emily and Evan Eagleton; and great grandchild Betty Schwartz.

A memorial service will be held on October 5, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2929 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX 77339. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Mrs. Eagleton’s name to The American Heart Association www.donatenow.heart.org

Funeral: A funeral service was held on 2015-10-06 at Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. Reception with wine, food and fellowship will follow
