March 20, 1937 - August 18, 2016

Floyd, J. C
James Calvin Floyd (79), born March 20th, 1937, went home to be with our Lord on Thursday, August 18th, 2016.

JC was a devoted husband of 58 years to Sally Jane Floyd who preceded him in death on November 19th, 2015. He was a devoted Father to one daughter, Karen Coskrey, and three sons Jeff Floyd, Damon Floyd and Randal Floyd. JC had 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, all of whom he loved very much and they him. JC had many friends during his 79 years here on Earth. His ever present sense of humor, the giving of his time, talents and resources to anyone in need, his loving care and dedication in sickness and health to his wife of many years, his uplifting positive attitude and kindness towards others even while undergoing his own personal physical challenges will all be dearly missed. Anyone familiar with JC knew he was a man of integrity, dependability, generosity, reliability and humility. JC was “a really good guy” to borrow the words of one of his long time friends and neighbor. JC’s battle with cancer is finally over but he is “home” now with his bride and his Lord. JC’s faith in Christ was strong and evident to all in the way he lived out his life. He will be dearly missed here on Earth but never forgotten in our hearts.
