With her loving family by her side, one of earth’s most beautiful roses, Rufinita “Ruth” Delores Holloway was swept into Heaven on February 11th, 2018 after a brave and courageous battle with lung cancer. Ruth was married to the love of her life and together they shared 51 incredible years of marriage. Ruth and Jim were true soulmates and shared a love that most only dream of.

Ruth was born in Oakland, California on May 26th, 1947 and is the daughter of Andres “Andy” & Efercina “Effie” Montoya of Freemont, CA. She graduated from the School of Ministry, May 8, 1983 and ordained at the City of Light on February 21, 1985. Ruth spent many years working as an Executive Assistant and proudly spent the last 15 years as the Event Manager at the Nathanial Center in Kingwood, Texas.

Ruth put her faith and family first and was known for her personal style and grace. She was classy, sophisticated and timeless. Ruth had a way of taking something simple and making it spectacular. She was beautiful inside and out and will be missed!

She is survived by husband Jim, son Michael, daughter-in-law Rhonda Holloway, grandchildren Jayden and Kaylee. Daughter Daira, son-in-law Dr. Manfred Quentel, grandchildren Darrell, Autumn, Hunter and Presley. Daughter Darla, son-in-law Wade Bartlett, grandchildren Braxton, Megan, Brooke and Bailey. Brother Andy and sister-in-law Sue Montoya, Sister Linda and brother-in-law Rex Duvall and Brother Mike Montoya. She is preceded in death by her father, Andres “Andy” Montoya Sr. and her sister Rebecca Montoya.

A viewing is scheduled February 18th, 2018 from 4:00-5:30 pm followed by a Celebration of Life at 5:30 pm at the Nathanial Center located at 804 Russel Palmer Road, Kingwood, Texas.
